1100 Flaconi da PET riciclato
Bormioli Rocco e Figlio - Divisione Plastica offre ai propri clienti la possibilità di utilizzare flaconi realizzati al 100% con PET riciclato proveniente dal post-consumo.
I flaconi prodotti con PET riciclato sono il frutto di un lungo lavoro portato avanti da Bormioli e finalizzato all'utilizzo di una materia prima di provenienza certificata e in grado di offrire ottime proprietà estetiche; i flaconi vengono infatti controllati mediante un sistema automatico di ispezione ottica in grado di scartare i pezzi che evidenziano eventuali impurezze.
Bormioli Rocco e Figlio - Divisione Plastica pone particolare attenzione al riciclo dei materiali e alla riduzione dell’impatto ambientale, non a caso ha ricevuto la certificazione ambientale ISO 14000. Il PET riciclato, tra l’altro, rappresenta un modo per offrire in ogni caso al cliente sicurezza ad elevati standard qualitativi, senza dimenticare, però, il vantaggio economico che questo materiale può far conseguire.

Recycled PET flacons
Bormioli Rocco e Figlio - Plastics Division offers its customers the chance to use 100% recycled PET flacons, the result of post-consumption collection.
These recycled PET flacons are the result of many hours of research and study by Bormioli, aimed at using a raw material with a certified origin capable of guaranteeing excellent aesthetic properties; in fact, these flacons are controlled by means of an automatic optic inspections system that can reject items with impurities.
Bormioli Rocco e Figlio - Plastics Division pays special attention to material recycling and the reduction of environmental impact and so it's not a coincidence that it's received ISO 14000 environmental certification. Recycled PET is, in any case, the perfect way to offer customers top safety and quality standards, plus the great cost-effectiveness that this material offers. |

1101 Cassette per ortofrutta
Plastic Nord (Camin, PD), specializzata nella produzione e commercializzazione di imballaggi di plastica per frutta e verdura, ha ampliato “Linea Natura”, una nuova serie di cassette che, oltre ad essere robuste e a presentarsi con fondo liscio, rifiniture arrotondate e angoli rinforzati, possono essere impilate perfettamente. Sono state irrobustite sia la maniglia di sollevamento sia il fondo.
La famiglia di cassette Linea Natura, già proposta nelle versioni 500x300x135, 500x300x160, 600x400x150, è stata arricchita con la misura 400x300x135 mm.
Sono disponibili due modelli: con sponda laterale alta e maniglia oppure con quella bassa, lasciando in ogni caso trasparire il contenuto.
L’area dedicata alla personalizzazione (attraverso tecniche tampografiche) è stata ulteriormente curata e migliorata e il logo Plastic Nord, già presente sulle cassette tradizionali, è stato inserito su tutti e quattro i lati in uno spazio ovale che aumenta l’impatto visivo e la riconoscibilità delle cassette.

Boxes for fruit and vegetables
Plastic Nord (Camin, PD), which specialises in the production and marketing of plastic packaging for fruit and vegetables, has expanded its ‘Linea Natura’, a new series of boxes which, as well as being strong and having a smooth base, rounded profiles and strengthened corners, can be stacked without problems. Both the carrying handle and the base are strengthened.
The Linea Natura family of boxes, already available in 500x300x135, 500x300x160, and 600x400x150 versions, now also includes the 400x300x135 mm size.
Two models are available: high-sided with handle or low-sided, in both cases allowing the contents to be seen.
Attention has been paid to the improvement of the area available for customisation (by pad-printing techniques) and the Plastic Nord logo already used on the traditional boxes has been placed on all four sides in an oval space which increases the visual impact and recognition of the boxes.

1102 Gomma antimicrobica
La Speciality Elastomers Business della Milliken Chemical (USA) propone un nuovo tipo di compound di gomma vulcanizzata a caldo che contribuisce a risolvere i problemi di pulizia nel processo/confezionamento di alimenti e medicinali. Si tratta di Elastoguard®, un elastomero brevettato che impedisce la proliferazione di batteri, funghi e muffe sulle parti di gomma. Elastoguard impiega, come biocida, l’Antimicrobial Alphasan®, una resina di argento-sodio-zirconio-fosfato (argento-NZP) a scambio di ioni che permea l’intero componente in gomma e fornisce una protezione dall’esterno all’interno senza alcuna zona di inibizione e di non-inibizione, comune ai biocidi organici. L’agente AM a base argento non è percolante, quindi le parti possono trarre maggiori vantaggi in termini di durata; inoltre, è stabile a livello termico (>800 °C).

Antimicrobe rubber
Speciality Elastomers Business of Milliken Chemical (USA) is offering a new type of vulcanized rubber compound that contributes to solving the problems of cleanliness in the processing/packaging of foodstuffs and medicinal products. It is called Elastoguard®, a patented elastomer that impedes the proliferation of bacteria, fungi and mildew on the rubber parts. As a biocide Elastoguard uses Antimicrobial Alphasan®, a Silver-sodium-zircon-phosphate resin (Silver NZP) with ion exchange that permeates the entire rubber component and gives a protection from the outside to the inside without any inhibition or non inhibition area, common to organic biocides. The Silver based AM agent does not percolate, and hence the parts have a longer service life; as well as that it is thermally stable (>800 °C).

1103 Film estensibili pre-stirati
Piccoli abbastanza per personalizzare i rapporti, ma grandi a sufficienza per presentare soluzioni all’avanguardia. Così ama definirsi Se.Co.Pack, società veneta (Retorbido, PD) che di recente ha creduto nelle potenzialità di Winwrap®, marchio registrato che identifica una gamma di film estensibili pre-stirati prodotti in Germania, e che ora propone sul mercato italiano.
Rispetto ai film tradizionali, lo spessore di Winwrap consente di ridurre notevolmente il consumo di prodotto per ogni pallet avvolto.
I film Winwrap sono infatti ottenuti con un particolare processo produttivo brevettato, grazie al quale non devono essere tirati ed allungati; il film blocca il pacco da imballare ed è sufficiente un numero minore di avvolgimenti per ottenere un imballo sicuro. L’operazione di avvolgimento, tra l’altro, grazie alla leggerezza del rotolo, risulta anche più semplice e meno faticosa per l’operatore. Winwrap mantiene inalterato il proprio tensionamento e garantisce un'ottima tenuta dei bancali.
Sebbene Winwrap in versione 8 micron abbia uno spessore pari a un terzo dei film estensibili tradizionali da 23 micron il suo tensionamento è pari al doppio.
Winwrap è disponibile in versione cast e blow. I cast, grazie all’elevata trasparenza non presentano problemi di lettura dei codici a barre, i blow sono adatti per pallet con bordi aguzzi, irregolari e per unità molto pesanti. La versione Climawrap (macroforata con strisce rinforzate) può essere utilizzata nel settore alimentare.
Prodotto in quattro spessori (8, 9, 10 e 11 micron), Winwrap è anche offerto senza mandrino di cartone (“coreless”).

Pre-stretched film
Small enough to personalise customer relations but large enough to propose avant-garde solutions. This is how Se.Co.Pack, a company based in Veneto (Retorbido, PD) likes to define itself. Recently they have shown faith in the potential of Winwrap®, a registered trademark which identifies a range of pre-stretched stretch film produced in Germany, which they are now introducing to the Italian market.
Compared to traditional film, Winwrap’s thickness means less of the product is needed to wrap each pallet. Winwrap film is, in fact, obtained by a special patented manufacturing process, thanks to which it does not have to be pulled and stretched; the film blocks the package to be wrapped and a decreased number of wrappings is sufficient in order to obtain safe and secure packaging. The winding operation, thanks to the lightness of the roll, is also simpler and less tiring for the operator.
Winwrap maintains a constant tension and guarantees excellent pallet grip. Although the 8 micron version of Winwrap has a thickness equal to a third of traditional 23 micron stretch film, its tension is twice that. Winwrap is available in cast and blow versions. The cast version, thanks to its high transparency, does not cause problems for barcode reading, the blow version is suitable for pallets with sharp, irregular edges and for very heavy units.
The Climawrap version (macro-perforated with reinforced strips) can be used in the food sector.
Produced in four thicknesses (8, 9, 10 and 11 micron), Winwrap is also sold without its cardboard tube (coreless).

1104 Contenitori per forno
Fondata nel 1926, Novacart S.p.A. è oggi un’importante fabbrica a ciclo completo di prodotti in carta per uso dolciario, con una produzione giornaliera di milioni di pezzi che varia dai pirottini agli stampi per cottura, dai pizzi alle scatole litografate, dai sacchetti ai vassoi cartonati, dalle piccole alle grandi tirature di qualsiasi forma, colore o dimensioni. Per la cottura in forno, Novacart S.p.A. ha messo a punto la linea di contenitori Ecos. Si tratta di stampi per alimenti che, secondo l’utilizzo previsto, possono essere realizzati in cartoncino di pura cellulosa, rivestito all’interno con un film PET resistente al calore, oppure con una carta accoppiata dalle molteplici proprietà. Composta da due strati i cui requisiti si integrano in maniera ottimale, questa soluzione è in grado di garantire all’interno dello stampo l’impermeabilità ai grassi e la facile asportabilità dell’alimento - che non “attacca” - e all’esterno un’adeguata resistenza all’umidità e al calore. La robustezza strutturale degli Ecos è affidata a un particolare bordo spiralato sulla sommità dell’intero perimetro, e da speciali nervature ricavate sul fondo.

Containers for baking
Founded in 1926 Novacart S.p.A. today stands as a complete cycle works for paper products for use in the confectionery industry, with a daily output of a million pieces that go from small containers to cooking moulds, from tracery to lithographed tins, from bags to cartoned trays, made in small and large runs in any shape, color or size required. Novacart S.p.A. has devised its new “Ecos” line of containers specific for baking. These are food moulds that, according to the use they are intended for, can be made in pure cellulose cardboard, coated on the inside with heat resistant PET film, or with a multiproperty laminated paper. Made up of two layers whose requisites integrate in an optimum fashion, this solution is in fact capable of guaranteeing grease-proofing inside the mould and the easy removal of the foodstuff - that does not “stick” - and a suitable resistance to damp and heat on the outside. The structural sturdiness of the Ecos is due to a special spiralled edge on the top of the entire perimeter, and special ribbing on the base.

1105 Tappi a prova di calore
Alcoa Closure Systems International (CSI) Europe ha messo a punto un sistema di chiusura che contribuisce a mantenere fresche le bevande gassate in bottiglie di PET.
Per risolvere il problema della fuoriuscita di CO2, Alcoa ha infatti modificato la filettatura di due tipi di tappi a vite, Euro-Lok e Double-Lok.
Una particolare conformazione del tappo svolge una doppia funzione, grazie alla struttura dell’anello esterno e di quello interno. Inoltre, l’anello che rimane sul collo della bottiglia, dotato di speciali linguette, è in grado di restare sempre a contatto con il contenitore, anche se quest’ultimo si restringe o modifica la sua forma a causa dell’alta temperatura.
Euro-Lok e Double-Lok, insomma, offrono ottime prestazioni di chiusura nel caso si debbano confezionare bevande gassate in bottiglie a perdere di PET esposte ad alte temperature, come anche dimostrato da alcuni test eseguiti con temperature sino a 60 °C.

Temperature-resistant closure
Alcoa Closure Systems International (CSI) Europe has developed a sealing system that ensures carbonated beverages in PET bottles remain fresh.
Alcoa has modified the sealing profile on two plastic screw closures, Euro-Lok and Double-Lok, with a high temperature liner profile.
A plug side-seal concept performs two liner functions simultaneously, thanks to its highly effective outer seal and additional inner seal. Furthermore, the sealing ring positioned inside the neck of the bottle helps resist against shrinkage of the PET, because this inner seal remains in constant contact with the neck of the bottle, even if the latter shrinks or loses its shape under high temperatures. This results in improved CO2 retention.
Euro-Lok HR and Double-Lok HR now offer outstanding sealing for carbonated beverages in non-returnable PET bottles exposed to high temperatures, proven through independent comparative tests at temperatures of up to 60°C.
