Jars and bottles for food products
The Bormioli Rocco group is known all over the world for their articulated production of glass containers. At present their activities are well-structured in 5 sectors: containers, household products, plastics, engineering and mechanical. The Containers Division, which accounts for 45% of the group’s turnover, produces bottles largely destined for the cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and food industries. The latter is of particular strategic importance and offers a complete range of quality controlled products used by the biggest names in the market. Bormioli Rocco proposes standard models, in different colors and thickness, that can be further personalised at a minimal additional cost even for medium sized quantities. They also supply personalized containers, studied ad hoc, and produced in special colours and/or frosted and silk-screened.

302 Etichette autoadesive in bobina
Notarianni produce etichette autoadesive in bobina, con una spiccata specializzazione nei settori del vino, dell’olio e dei liquori, per i quali ha creato una linea apposita di materiali con adesivi specifici (per esempio resistenti alle basse temperature e all’umidità, facili da gestire in fase di riciclo dei vuoti). Con una struttura di 30 dipendenti e una produzione articolata su tre turni, l’azienda alessandrina ha comunque maturato una decisa esperienza nella trasformazione di tutti i tipi di materiale autoadesivo (vellutato, metallizzato, vergato, di plastica ecc.) oltre che nella stampa serigrafica, offset, tipografica, a caldo e con rilievo a secco. Certificata ISO 9000 e votata alla sperimentazione, Notarianni cura in modo particolare le fasi di prestampa, svolgendo al proprio interno la preparazione degli impianti con l’ausilio dei più aggiornati sistemi elettronici.

Reeled self-adhesive labels
Notarianni produces self-adhesive labels on reels, with great specialisation in the wine, oil and spirits sectors, having created a distinct line of materials with specific adhesives for these (e.g., adhesives resistant to low temperatures and humidity, easy to manage during the recycling of empty bottles). With a structure of 30 employees and production over three shifts, this firm from Alessandria has gained significant experience in the conversion of all types of self-adhesive material (flock, metallic, manifold, plastic etc.), as well as screen-process, offset, typographic, hot and dry relief printing. With ISO 9000 certification and a strong propensity to experiment, Notarianni takes especial care in the pre-printing stages, preparing the plant in-house using cutting-edge electronic systems.

303 Guarnizioni poliuretaniche per coperchi
L’applicazione di guarnizioni sui coperchi di contenitori di plastica o di banda stagnata riveste un ruolo decisivo, al fine di garantire qualità e tenuta dell’imballo finito. Sonderhoff Italia ed EDF (leader di mercato nel settore FIPFG - Formed In Place Fluid Gasket e certificate ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AS 9000) hanno sviluppato un impianto robotizzato per l’applicazione della guarnizione ancora liquida nella sede predisposta dei coperchi, tramite una testa di miscelazione e dosaggio. La polimerizzazione avviene in tempi brevissimi direttamente sul pezzo, contenendo i costi e rendendo quindi accessibile la tecnologia a un numero maggiore di aziende. Le guarnizioni poliuretaniche espanse ottenute si distinguono per l’ottima resistenza ai prodotti chimici e aggressivi e l’eccezionale ritorno elastico (superiore al 95%). La testa di miscelazione e dosaggio ad altissima precisione MK 400 o MK 600 assicura la perfetta ripetibilità del processo, con uno standard qualitativo costante e garantito. La testa di miscelazione può essere fissa (se sono i coperchi a girare) o movimentata da un robot antropomorfo o cartesiano a controllo numerico. Il lavaggio della testa di miscelazione viene effettuato con il sistema “Acqua Clean”, che utilizza semplice acqua di rete per il lavaggio nel massimo rispetto ambientale e in linea con la filosofia aziendale.

Polyurethane gaskets for lids
The application of gaskets on the lids used to close plastic or tin containers is of crucial importance in guaranteeing the quality and tightness of the final packaging. Sonderhoff Italia and EDF (market leader in the FIPFG - Formed In Place Fluid Gasket sector, with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and AS 9000 certification) have developed an automated plant for the application of the gaskets while still liquid in the relevant seat on the lids by means of a special mixing and metering head. Polymerising is extremely fast, directly on the item, thus cutting costs and making the technology accessible to a greater number of firms. Expanded polyurethane gaskets also have the distinguishing properties of offering resistance to chemical and aggressive products and excellent spring back (more than 95%). The high precision MK 400 or MK 600 mixing and metering head guarantees perfect reproduction of the process, with a constant, guaranteed standard of quality. The mixing head can be fixed (if the lids are made to rotate) or driven by an anthropomorphic robot or a carthesian with numerical control. The mixing head is cleaned using the “Acqua Clean” system that uses simple mains water to wash the heads in full respect for the environment and in line with the company’s philosophy.

304 Film estensibile per uso alimentare
Proposto per l’imballaggio di cibi freschi, Aliprot di Crocco è idoneo al contatto diretto con qualsiasi tipo di alimento, anche ad alto tenore di grassi (le prove di migrazione hanno evidenziato valori di molto inferiori ai limiti UE). Aliprot è un film atossico a base di poliolefine, privo di cloro e plastificanti, riciclabile al 100%. Il basso peso specifico ne aumenta la resa e ne riduce l’imbatto ambientale. Rispetto ai film tradizionali, Aliprot vanta una superiore resistenza alla punturazione e una migliore resistenza alle alte e basse temperature (è stato testato fino a +70 e -25 °C). È disponibile in bobina da 200 a 1.450 mm, con spessori di 12 e 14 micron per uso manuale, di 16 e 18 micron per macchina automatiche e da 25 micron per prodotti surgelati; diametro mandrino 76 o 112 mm; lunghezza standard della bobina 1.500 m. Aliprot può essere stampato fino a 6 colori ed è disponibile anche microforato.

Stretch film for food
Proposed as packaging for fresh food, Aliprot by Crocco is suitable for direct contact with all types of food, even those with a high fat content (migration tests show values far lower than EU limits). Aliprot is a non-toxic polyolefin-based film, without chlorine and plasticisers, and 100% recyclable. Its low specific weight increases yield and reduces its environmental impact. Compared to conventional films, Aliprot offers superior resistance to puncturing and greater resistance to high and low temperatures (it’s been tested at up to +70 and -25 °C). Available in rolls measuring 200 to 1,450 mm, 12 and 14 micron thick for manual use or 16 and 18 microns thick for automatic machines, and even 25 micron thick for frozen products; 76 or 112 mm spindle diameter; 1,500 m standard roll length. Aliprot can be printed in up to 6 colors and also comes with micro-perforations.

Alplast progetta e produce chiusure di plastica e alluminio per contenitori di alimenti e bevande. Fra le novità presentate al Simei figura Starkorck, il tappo sintetico per uso enologico, che può essere impiegato al posto del tradizionale tappo di sughero con pari garanzie di tenuta e senza alterare il gusto del vino. Sempre per liquidi alimentari, Alplast propone linee specifiche per bevande e bibite, prive di qualsiasi additivo che potrebbe alterare le caratteristiche del prodotto, fra cui le nuove capsule (mono- o bipezzo) per bevande naturali in bottiglie di PET a imboccatura larga; capsule per acqua in PET o vetro; chiusure d’alluminio con versatore a tromboncino o a raggera, per olio d’oliva in contenitori di vetro e per olio di semi in PET; capsule d’alluminio per ogni tipo di applicazione nel mercato dei liquori e superalcolici, in misure e diametri standard e speciali, anche dotate di versatore tradizionale o del nuovo modello antisofisticazione.

Capsules and synthetic tops
Alplast projects and produces plastic and aluminium closing devices for food and beverage containers. Starkorck was one of the novelties presented at Simei; it is a synthetic stopper for wine producers to use which can substitute the traditional cork made of actual cork, which guarantees the same sealing qualities and which does not alter the taste of the wine. For other liquid foods, Alplast offers lines specifically for soft drinks and beverages free of any kind of additive which might alter the characteristics of the product.
Among these are the new caps (mono or bi-piece) for natural beverages in PET bottles with a wide mouth; caps for water in PET or glass; aluminium closing devises with conical or radiating spouts for glass containers for olive oil and vegetable oils in PET; aluminium caps for all kinds of application in the alcoholic drink and liquor market, in standard and special sizes, with both traditional pourers or the new anti-contamination model.

Delta Glass è specializzata nella lavorazione e commercializzazione di articoli di vetro, e può offrire diverse linee di tappi. Inoltre, l’azienda veneta progetta e fornisce etichette autoadesive di peltro stagno e placche d’argento personalizzate per la decorazione di bottiglie di pregio, effettua foratura e montaggio di rubinetti di plastica cromati dorati nonché vari tipi di decori a mano e confezioni regalo. Fra le varie linee Delta Glass figurano i tappi a sfera e a cupola, con superficie lucida trasparente o opaca, anche colorate di giallo, rosso, acqua marina, verde oliva, blu, e con trattamenti particolari di metallizzazione oro e argento su richiesta. Working of glass and metal
Delta Glass specialises in the working and commercialisation of glass items, including various lines of caps. This Venetian company also designs and supplies personalised self-adhesive labels made from pewter and silver plate for the decoration of bottles of prestige. It can also prepare the bottles and fit them with chrome-plated plastic taps and various other types of handcrafted decoration, plus make up gift packs. One of the many Delta Glass lines consists of ball caps and dome caps, with either transparent or matt surfaces, coloured yellow, red, aquamarine, olive green and blue, with the possibility of special gold and silver metallic treatment on request. These ball and dome caps can be fitted with corks of different diameters and come complete with seal if required. Delta Glass also produces elegant metallic caps for liqueurs and fine wines, plus caps made from cork and fantastically shaped transparent glass.

These solutions are developed for standard or personalised production, thanks also to the contribution of the Group’s research centres. ISO 9002 certified, Beverage Plastics Italy is a combination of firms belonging to the Crown Cork & Seal Group, involved in the production of PET preforms and bottles, plastic tops and crowns in Italy. In particular, Faba Sirma SpA, PET division, produces preforms and bottles for MW and CSD, oil, cosmetic products, agrochemicals and alcohol. Fa.ba.sud also produces preforms, plus easy open closures, as well as metal tins and boxes. Bricorama realizza un’ampia gamma di confezioni, puntando alla qualità delle materie prime impiegate e all’avanzamento tecnologico dei macchinari, offrendo al contempo un servizio di confezionamento conto terzi. È inoltre attrezzata per effettuare i controlli delle merci ricevute, studiare e produrre confezioni in esclusiva ed effettuare spedizioni. Fra le principali tipologie di packaging realizzate in casa si segnalano i blister saldati ad alta frequenza e i termoformati di PVC. Bricorama produces a wide range of packs, focusing on the quality of the raw materials used and the technological development of its machinery, while at the same time offering a packing service on jobbing account. It’s also equipped to carry out controls on incoming goods, to study and produce exclusive packs and to effect shipment. Of the many main types of packaging produced in-house, special mention goes to the high-frequency sealed blister packs and the PVC thermoformed packs. But the company’s production program also includes skinpacks, heat-sealed blister packs, bivalve packs, packaging using normal or special cardboard, display stands, packs of individually bagged products and otherwise, labels and labeling with or without barcodes, packs with tamper-evident systems. The various processes include thermforming, normal cellophane-wrapping (even books and papers) or heat-shrink wrapping, packaging of gadgets to be sold with other products, hot melt, various assembling and die-cutting.
