760 Termoformatrice per grandi formati
Farcon (Carpi, MO) ha presentato la termoformatrice per grandi formati FB420, in grado di effettuare un cambio formato senza strumenti.
La struttura a balcone facilita le operazioni di pulizia e di manutenzione, mentre il caricamento dal basso la rende ergonomica; inoltre è ancora più facile da controllare grazie al touch screen scorrevole lungo tutta la lunghezza della macchina. Regolabile da 8 a 45 cicli/min, la FB420 utilizza film con spessori da 200-600 micron in un’area compresa fra 60x80 mm e 210x310 mm, per una profondità massima di 29 mm; il diametro massimo delle bobine è di 500 mm per quelle di copertura e 600 mm per quelle di formatura.

Large-format thermoforming machine
Farcon (Carpi, Modena) presents its large-format thermoforming machine – the FB420 – capable of carrying out size changes without the need for tools. Its cantilevered structure makes it easier to clean and service, while the bottom loading makes it ergonomic. It’s also far easier to control thanks to the touch screen that slides along the length of the machine.
With 8 to 45 cycles/min speed control, the FB420 uses films measuring 200-600 microns thick in an area ranging between 60x80 mm and 210x310 mm, max depth 29 mm; the max reel diameter is 500 mm (covering) and 600 mm (forming).

761 Rileva le microperdite
I visitatori di Interpack sono rimasti sorpresi dalla "bagcheck", dispositivo per il controllo di sacchetti e buste messo a punto dalla tedesca Heuft, già nota sul mercato per la produzione di attrezzature in grado di rilevare le microperdite negli imballaggi per bevande. Il principio di funzionamento è semplice: una ruota a pressione analizza la superficie del sacchetto o della busta fornendo informazioni sulla tenuta e il volume della confezione, rilevando persino le perdite più piccole. Le tecniche di misurazione e molti componenti meccanici prendono spunto dal sistema modulare della serie Spectrum TX, che prevede interfaccia grafica e interfaccia di rete basata sugli standard industriali Ethernet.

Detects small leakages
The unveiling of the HEUFT bagcheck took the visitors at the Interpack 2002 exhibition by surprise. Already specialists for the detection of leakages in packaging for drinks the HEUFT company has now extended its range to include an inspection device for bags and pouches.
The measuring principle used could not be easier: a pressure-loaded wheel scans
the surface of the bag or pouch. The curve measured provides information about the tightness and filling volume.
Various samples demonstrated how even the small leakages can be detected.
The measuring technique and many of the mechanical components are based on the modular system of the HEUFT SPECTRUM TX series. This system includes a graphical user interface, which can be intuitively operated, as well as a network interface based on industrial Ethernet standards.

762 Intubettatrice
Prodotta da CO.MA.DI.S, azienda milanese acquisita nel 2001 da IMA (Castenaso, BO), C1090 è una riempitrice di tubetti di nuova progettazione, caratterizzata da un innovativo sistema di alimentazione tubetti. La macchina è dotata di un sigillatore ad aria calda per tubetti di plastica, un PLC e un display di programmazione.
Grazie al suo particolare design, la macchina consente di accedere con facilità ai quattro lati per le attività di manutenzione.
Inoltre, è stato semplificato il cambio formato dei suoi elementi, che può essere concluso senza attrezzi. La C1090 raggiunge una velocità di produzione, al minuto, di 90 tubetti di metallo e 80 di politene, accoppiato o polyfoil.

Tube filling machine
The C1090 by CO.MA.DI.S, a Milan-based company taken over in 2001 by IMA (Castenaso, Bologna), is a new-concept tube filling machine, featuring an innovative tube feeding system. The machine is fitted with hot air sealing unit for plastic tubes, PLC and programming display.
Thanks to its design criteria, the machine allows easy access to all four sides of the machine for maintenance operations.
The change-over of parts has been simplified, carried out without tools. The C1090 reaches a production speed of 90 metal tubes/minute and 80 polythene, laminate or polyfoil tubes/minute.

763 Macchine per il fine linea
Nota come specialista per il fine linea (imballaggio secondario e palettizzazione) la Ocme di Parma deve gran parte dei successi ottenuti di recente all'ammodernamento della propria gamma di termofardellatrici Vega, delle incartonatrici wrap-around Altair e dei robot di palettizzazione Pegasus. Per questi ultimi è stato ottenuto il brevetto per il sistema a lamine auto adattanti che permette di creare qualsiasi configurazione di strato. Sulle incartonatrici Altair è stato perfezionato il magazzino cartoni, che garantisce una maggiore flessibilità nel trattare fustellati di differente qualità. Per finire, sulle Vega sono stati ottenuti miglioramenti nella qualità del fardello grazie all’utilizzo di lampade a infrarossi.

End-of-line machines
Known as specialists in end-of-line equipment (for secondary packaging and palletisation) Ocme of Parma owes much of its recent successes to the updating of its Vega range of thermo-bundling machines, its Altair wraparound case packing machines and its Pegasus palletisation robots. This last piece of equipment has been granted a patent for its auto-adjusting film system which allows any configuration of layer to be created. On the Altair casepacking machine, the carton magazine has been improved so as to guarantee greater flexibility in dealing with blanks of differing qualities. Finally, with the Vega, improvements in the quality of the bundle have been obtained thanks to the use of infrared lights.

Umbra Packaging (Assisi, PG) presenta la serie di linee d’insacco denominate UP 1000 (modelli M e G), insaccatrici automatiche per sacchi a bocca aperta in grado di lavorare sacchi di carta e carta politenata, polietilene o rafia, con o senza soffietti e maniglie.
Non è richiesto alcun intervento manuale né per il passaggio da un tipo di sacco a un altro, né per il cambio formato; si possono utilizzare sacchi di larghezza compresa fra 200 e 600 mm e di lunghezza fra 300 e 1.100 mm. La capacità di queste macchine di autoregolarsi con la semplice selezione del programma di lavoro, le pone all’avanguardia dal punto di vista della velocità produttiva (con capacità di 800-1.000 sacchi/ora) e della flessibilità di utilizzo.

Automatic bagging system
Umbra Packaging (Assisi, Perugia) presents the series of bagging lines known as UP 100 (M and G models), automatic bagging systems for open-mouth bags, capable of filling bags in paper, polyethylene or PP raffia, with or without side gussets and handles. No manual intervention is necessary, either for the change of shape, or for the change of size; one can use bags ranging in width from 200 to 600 mm and in length from 300 to 1,100 mm. The ability of these machines to regulate themselves by simply selecting the work program places them in the vanguard from the point of view of their output (800-1,000 bags/hour) and of their flexibility of use.

765 Etichettatrice per fiale
Per la multinazionale tedesca Aventis Pharma Deutschland, Krones ha sviluppato un’etichettatrice basata sul suo progetto Autocol, che non solo incorpora tutte le unità di monitoraggio necessarie, ma opera anche alla velocità di 60.000 fialette cilindriche/ora. I contenitori di vetro, chiusi, che sono etichettati hanno volumi nominali di 1,7 e 3 ml. Poiché questi piccoli contenitori sono poco stabili, il sistema di alimentazione dell’etichettatrice ha dovuto essere riprogettatato di conseguenza. I contenitori riempiti giungono all’etichettatrice in depositi contenente ognuno circa 800 elementi, dopo di che un operatore li inserisce nella macchina attraverso due tavoli di riempimento. Per ottenere l’alto livello di produttività conseguito, Krones impiega due APS 2 applicatori di etichette autoadesive su questa macchina, ognuno in grado di apporre, su 30.000 conteniyori/ora, etichette avvolgenti caricate da bobina.

Labeller for small containers
For the German pharmaceutical corporation Aventis Pharma Deutschland, Krones has developed a labeller based on its Autocol design, which not only incorporates all the requisite monitoring units, but also operates at the speed of 60,000 cylindrical ampoules per hour. The closed glass containers being labelled have nominal volumes of 1.7 ml and 3 ml. Since these small containers are not very stable, the labeller’s infeed situation had to be redesigned accordingly. The filled containers arrive at the labeller in magazines each containing about 800 pieces, whereupon an operator feeds them into the machine via two infeed tables. To achieve the high labelling output involved, Krones uses two APS 2 self-adhesive label applicators on this machine, each affixing reel-fed wrap-around labels at a speed of 30,000 containers an hour.

Le ribobinatrici automatiche prodotte da Tecnicol (Turate, CO) sono ideali per raggiungere alte cadenze produttive e ottenere bobine di qualità assicurando quindi buone prestazioni sul prodotto finito. Tutti i componenti utilizzati da Tecnicol si distinguono per affidabilità, precisione e disponibilità sul mercato. In particolare, ricordiamo la ribobinatrice 28-AV-46 per film rigidi di PVC e PET calandrati (con spessore da 100 a 1.000 micron). Qualche dato tecnico: larghezza bobine da 1.000 a 1.800 mm; diametro delle bobine riavvolte sino a 1.000 mm; velocità 200 m/min.

Special automatic winders
The automatic rewinders produced by Tecnicol (Turate, Como) are ideal for achieving high production cycles and obtaining high quality reels therefore guaranteeing high performance of finished products. All components used by Tecnicol are in the vanguard in terms of reliability, precision and market availability. We note Model 28-AV-46 for calendered PVC and PET rigid film (thickness from 100 to 1,000 micron). Some technical data: web width 1,000 to 1,800 mm; diameter of rewound reels up to 1,000 mm; speed 200 m/min.

767 Monodose per liquidi o semi-densi
Confeziona prodotti liquidi e semi-densi in monodosi di plastica spremibili e/o pelabili con volumi da 1 a 100 ml. Queste, in sintesi, le funzioni della nuova TF-01, messa a punto dalla Unifill di Modena (Gruppo Elopak).
Poiché le monodosi sono formate partendo da una bobina unica, è possibile realizzare anche contenitori “stand-up”; la modularità della macchina consente inoltre l’applicazione di tappi per confezioni multi-uso. Ma la novità più interessante è nel cambio formato che, grazie a un disegno innovativo di stampi e trancianti, diventa estremamente semplice e rapido (20-25 min). La TF-01 rappresenta la soluzione ideale per le basse-medie produzioni e uno strumento utile per le aziende del settore del confezionamento conto terzi.
Non va dimenticato anche il nuovo sistema monoblocco Unifill, per termoformare e riempire bottiglie da 50 a 500 ml.
Il sistema Smart-Bottle, grazie al nuovo gruppo di termoformatura brevettato, consente di eliminare le antiestetiche saldature esterne, rendendo la bottiglia molto simile a una soffiata.

Single dose for liquids or semifluid
Packs liquid and semifluid products in plastic single doses which can be pressed or peeled with volumes ranging from 1 to100 ml. These are, briefly, the functions of the new TF-01, refined by Unifill of Modena (Elopack group).
As the single doses are formed from a single reel, it is possible to make stand-up containers too: the modular nature of the machine moreover allows the application of tops for multi use packages.
But the most interesting news is the format change which, thanks to the innovative design of moulds and cutters, is now extremely simple and rapid (20-25 minutes).
The TF-01 represents the ideal solution for low-medium production and a useful instrument for companies in the packaging sector on behalf of a third party.
The new monoblock Unifill system for moulding and filling bottles of 50 and 500 ml shouldn’t be overlooked either.
The Smart-Bottle system, thanks to the new set of patented welding devices, eliminates unsightly external welding, making the bottle look very like a blown one.
