558 Rilevatori fotoelettrici
La famiglia di barriere per la rilevazione e la misura AREAscan di Datasensor si arricchisce della nuova serie DS1, caratterizzata da un buon rapporto prezzo/prestazioni. Si tratta di dispositivi fotoelettrici multiraggio, adatti alla rilevazione, misura e conteggio di oggetti, anche di piccole dimensioni e di forme diverse. Le barriere sono costituite da un'unità di trasmissione e una di ricezione le cui ottiche, parallele e allineate, generano un'area sensibile entro cui avviene la rilevazione degli oggetti. Per quanto riguarda l'altezza di rilevazione, sono disponibili modelli con valori pari a 100 mm, 150 mm o 300 mm; la risoluzione minima può raggiungere i 4 mm per i modelli High Resolution, oppure i 7 mm per gli Standard Resolution. Infine, sono disponibili modelli Short Distance con distanza operativa da 150 mm a 850 mm, oppure Long Distance, da 800 mm a 2100 mm.

Photoelectric scanners
The DS1 series constitutes the new addition to the AREAscan family of barriers for measuring and scanning by Datasensor, featuring a good price/performance ratio. These are multiray photoeletrical devices, suited for scanning, measuring and counting objects, also small in size and of different shape. The barriers are made up a transmission and a reception unit where the opticals, parallels and lines generate a sensitive area within which the scanning of objects takes place. Models are available with a 100 mm, 150 mm or 300 mm scanning height; min resolution can be down to 4 mm for High Resolution or 7 mm for Standard Resolution models, Short Distance models are available with a working distance of from 150 mm to 850 mm, or Long Distance from 800 mm to 2100 mm.

The Bettinelli division from Cam Driven Systems presents its cam driven mechanical units for converting motion control: its IP parallel axes intermitters (intermitter, oscillator and cyclical variator versions) its IT and TR (indexed and continuous versions) and HP series turntables (intermitter, oscillator and cyclical variator versions), its IG series globoidal intermitters (intermitter, oscillator and cyclical variator versions), TG series globoidal tables (indexed and continuous versions), its MHP and LHP manipulator serie, and final precision line TL series conveyors.

560 Slot PLC ad alte prestazioni
Vipa ha presentato allo scorso MCS di Bologna lo Slot PLC System 500, caratterizzato da una CPU 517 in Step 7 (realizzata da Siemens) e da un Master Profibus integrato. La CPU, in particolare, è strutturata come una scheda PCI ed è alimentata dall'esterno a 24V DC. La capacità di memoria, le istruzioni e le applicazioni d’uso della slot CPU 517 corrispondono a quelle della CPU 317 del modello S 300V. Inoltre, il Master Proflbus DP e il MP2I svolgono la funzione di interfacce esterne per le reti standard. Di seguito, riportiamo alcune delle proprietà che distinguono la Slot-PLC CPU 517: istruzioni di uso compatibili con S7-300 di Siemens (tranne la CPU 318); interfaccia MP2I, in particolare MPI (8 connessioni statiche, 8 dinamiche) o connessioni seriali punto a punto; profibus DP integrato; memoria esterna (MMC); interfaccia operativa tool VIPA PLC inclusa; VIPA OPC server e licenza per driver MPI inclusi.

High performance slot PLC
At the last MCS at Bologna Vipa presented its System 500 Slot PLC, featuring a CPU 517 in step 7 (made by Siemens) and an integrated Master Profibus. The CPU in particular is structured like a PCI board and powered externally at 24V DC. Its memory capacity, the instructions and applications used by the CPU 517 slot correspond to that of the CPU 317 of the S 300V model. As well as that, the Master Profibus DP and the MP2I carry out functions of external interface for the standard networks. Here following we list some of the properties that feature in the Slot-PLC CPU 517: user instructions compatible with the Siemens S7-300 (besides the CPU 318); MP2I interface, in particular MPI (8 static and 8 dynamic connections) or point-to-point serial connections; integrated profibus DP; external memory (MMC); VIPA PLC interface tool included; VIPA OPC server and license for MPI driver included.

561 Più sicurezza nel retail
Checkpoint Systems ha presentato una nuova gamma di soluzioni EAS in radio frequenza digitale. “3a Generazione” comprende una serie di antenne e una suite di software che assicura molteplici funzioni per la connettività e la gestione dei dati di tutto l’impianto. Checkpro Manager 3.1 consiste in una potente piattaforma software che fa dialogare tra loro tutti i sistemi EAS, TVCC, scanner, disattivatori, rilevatori di presenze e, in futuro, RFID, installati nel punto vendita. Checkpro Reporter 2.0 permette invece di eseguire l’analisi dei dati e la generazione di report che mantengono traccia della quantità degli eventi rilevati dalle antenne e dagli accessori.
Con la nuova tecnologia Digital Signal Enhancement si assicura così una più elevata precisione e velocità di rilevazione: ciò permette di installare le antenne in varchi d’uscita più ampi utilizzando etichette di protezione più piccole. Il sistema 3a Generazione può essere facilmente personalizzato all’interno del punto vendita, per adattarsi alle varie esigenze del retailer e offrire una funzione unica, “auto-tune”, che permette di eseguire l’impostazione remota dell’impianto tramite un computer palmare.
Con la nuova piattaforma RF digitale il retail si troverà ad utilizzare un sistema integrato per la sicurezza e la gestione delle merci. Questo sistema evoluto consentirà di adottare facilmente le tecnologie RFID per la tracciatura, la gestione e la protezione dello stock.

Checkpoint Systems presented a new range of EAS solutions in digital frequency radio. ‘3rd Generation’ includes a series of aerials and a software suite which ensures a very wide range of functions for the connection and management of data throughout the plant.
Checkpro Manager 3.1 consists of a powerful software platform which can dialogue with all systems such as EAS, CCTV, scanners, deactivators, intrusion detectors and, in the future, RFID installed at the point of sale.
Checkpro Reporter 2.0 allows the carrying out of data analysis and the creation of reports which keep track of the number of events picked up by the aerials and accessories. The new Digital Signal Enhancement technology thus ensures much greater accuracy and survey speed: this allows the aerials to be installed in much wider exit passages using smaller protection labels. The 3rd Generation system can easily be customised within the point of sale, to adjust to the different requirements of retailers and provide a unique function, ‘auto-tune’, which allows remote setting of the equipment to be carried out through a hand-held computer. With the new RF digital platform, the retail trade will be able to make use of an integrated system for the security and management of goods. This advanced system allows the easy adoption of RFID technologies for the tracing, management and protection of stock.

562 Etichettatrice rotativa o lineare
P.E. Labellers ha proposto Master, un’etichettatrice rotativa o lineare per etichette autoadesive, in grado di applicare fino a sei etichette su un contenitore, a seconda del modello, e di lavorare con imballaggi cilindrici e sagomati (rettangolari, ovali ecc.). Sulla stessa macchina è possibile effettuare un’etichettatura mista con colla a freddo ed etichetta autoadesiva. La velocità di produzione varia da 30 a 500 bottiglie/min.
La società ha realizzato anche l’etichettatrice da bobina Rollmatic. Lo svolgimento del film è guidato da un dispositivo di autoallineamento in automatico, mentre il trasferimento dell'etichetta dal taglio alla bottiglia avviene con un tamburo di aspirazione senza pinze. Il controllo del riscaldamento colla, relativa temperatura nelle varie zone, allarmi ecc. è controllato e gestito da PLC.

Rotary or linear labeling machine
P.E. Labellers has proposed its Master: a rotary or linear labeling machine for self-adhesive labels, capable of applying up to six labels per container depending on the model and of handling cylindrical and shaped packaging (rectangular, oval etc.). Mixed labeling is possible in the same machine: cold glue and self-adhesive labels. Output speeds vary from 30 to 500 bottles/min.
The company has also developed the Rollmatic spool labeling machine. The film is unwound by a special automatic self-aligning device, while the label is transferred from the cutter to the bottle by means of a gripper-less suction drum. PLC controlled and managed glue heating, temperatures of the various areas, alarms etc.
