109 Foil per stampa a caldo
La divisione Coding della Giusto Manetti Battiloro offre una gamma completa di prodotti per la codifica industriale, fra cui i foil per la stampa a caldo. In particolare, la serie CH di foil pigmentati su film di poliestere è ideale per i marcatori a stampa in verticale con cliché metallico. CH consente di stampare a 120-130 °C con velocità fino a 80 colpi/min, garantendo buona definizione anche con caratteri molto piccoli. La serie RF, invece, consente di effettuare stampe a temperature tra 90 e 130 °C e sino a 90 colpi/min, mentre la gamma “Indelebile” di foil pigmentati su film di PP, specifica per il packaging alimentare, offre un’elevata resistenza a graffi, agenti chimici e alte temperature. Inoltre, può essere utilizzato per stampe a 75-100 °C fino a 85 colpi/min. Completano l’offerta dell’azienda fiorentina i foil per uso farmaceutico delle serie AB, EK e TR, le soluzioni con tecnologia Thermal Transfer Ribbon (nastro a trasferimento termico + marcatori con testine elettroniche) e i tamponi di spugna plastica impregnati d’inchiostro termosensibile.

Foil for hot printing
The Coding division of Giusto Manetti Battiloro supplies a complete range of products for industrial coding, including foils for hot printing. In particular, the CH series of pigmented foil on polyester film is ideal for vertical print markers with metal plates. The CH allows printing at 120-130 °C with speeds up to 80 strokes/min, ensuring good definition even with very small characters. The RF series allows printing to be carried out at temperatures between 90 and 130 °C at up to 90 strokes/min, while the “Indelible” range of pigmented foil on PP film, designed specifically for food packaging, provides high resistance to scratches, chemical agents and high temperatures. It can also be used for printing at 75-100 °C up to 85 strokes/min. Completing the Florence company’s range are the Series AB, EK and TR for pharmaceutical use, solutions with Thermal Transfer Ribbon technology plus markers with electronic heads and plastic sponge pads impregnated with heat-sensitive ink.

110 Pompe per saponi liquidi
La All Plastic Lotion Pump “Guscio”, realizzata da Taplast, è stata utilizzata per i flaconi delle tre nuove linee personal care di Sara Lee (Radox, Sanex e Badedas, considerate tra le marche di sapone liquido più vendute in Europa).
Il soffietto in plastica, elemento distintivo delle All Plastic Pumps, in questa occasione è stato "ricoperto" dal Guscio. La pompa fornita da Taplast, tutta realizzata in plastica e quindi facilmente riciclabile, si distingue anche per il design dalle linee morbide. Ognuna delle tre varianti di sapone trasmette un messaggio diverso: Radox, contiene olii e fragranze particolari ed è indirizzata alle persone stressate; Sanex è stata creata per chi ha bisogno di purificare la pelle; Badedas è una linea vibrante ed energetica.
L’ultimo riconoscimento ottenuto da Taplast per la tecnologia utilizzata dalle sue All Plastic Pumps, che si distinguono per efficacia e ridotto impatto ambientale, è stato il Worldstar for Packaging 2002, ricevuto a Barcellona.

Pumps for liquid soaps
Taplast’s Guscio All Plastic pump ‘tops’ the bottles of three of Sara Lee’s main cleansing lines, (Radox, Sanex and Badedas) considered among the best-selling brands of liquid soap in Europe.
Guscio, Italian for shell, refers to the shell, with a strong yet upscale look, that protects the internal All-Plastic bellow.
Each of the three lines transmits different sensory messages: the Radox line contains special oils and fragrances and targets people who are stressed, the Sanex line focuses on skin purity, the Badedas line is targeted as a vibrant and energetic cleanser. The latest recognition obtained by Taplast for the technology used by its Plastic Pumps, that stand out for their effectiveness and reduced environmental impact, was the Worldstar for Packaging 2002, received in Barcelona .

111 Tessuti per il confezionamento
Maspe commercializza tessuti di vetro PTFE e siliconati, polietilene (HMW- e UHMW- HDPE), poliuretano compatto, espanso ed espanso rigido.
I tessuti di vetro PTFE e siliconati sono particolarmente apprezzati per le loro proprietà antiaderenti e per la resistenza al freddo (-73 °C) ed al caldo (+ 260 °C). Essi offrono un’ottima resistenza meccanica e dielettrica agli agenti chimici, a contaminazioni batteriche e a muffe; sono atossici e di facile pulizia. Questi prodotti trovano impiego in numerosi settori tra i quali: imballaggio, alimentare, cartotecnico, tessile, elettrico.
Il Lofrene è invece un polietilene HD ad alto ed altissimo peso molecolare particolarmente apprezzato per le proprie caratteristiche di materiale autolubrificante con bassissimo coefficiente di attrito oltre che per l’elevata resistenza all’abrasione, alla rottura ed agli urti. Questa linea di prodotti è disponibile in lastre, tondi e pezzi finiti fra cui figurano piani di taglio, ceppi, taglieri, guidacatene, guide di scorrimento, trasportatori a stella ed altri particolari resistenti ad usura che vengono forniti a disegno.

Fabrics for packaging
Maspe’s main products are PTFE and silicone coated glass fabrics, HMW and UHMW-HDPE, compact - foam and rigid foam polyurethane.
The PTFE and silicone coated glass fabrics are particularly appreciated for their non-stick/release properties and for their resistance to cold
(-73 °C) and heat (+260 °C). They offer excellent mechanical and dielectric strength, superior chemical resistance and resistance to bacterial contamination and mildew; they are non-toxic and easy to clean. These products are used in a number of sectors including packaging, food, paper, textile and electric industries.
Lofrene is a HMW and UHMW-HDPE, particularly appreciated for its characteristics as a self-lubricating material with a very low friction rate, as well as high abrasion resistance, break and impact strength. This line of products includes sheets, rods and finished products such as cutting boards and blocks, chopping boards, chains and belt guides, star wheels, conveyers and other wear-resistant products designed to customer specifications.

112 Bustine di poliaccoppiati a base plastica
I.G.C. realizza bustine di poliaccoppiati a base plastica, impiegando poliestere, alluminio, PE (trasparente e non), carta, laminati PE/ALL/PE. Full System è il nome del servizio offerto da I.G.C.
Al ricevimento, il prodotto del cliente viene catalogato, codificato e immagazzinato nel luogo più idoneo per temperatura, luce e umidità. Prima della stampa, il materiale di confezionamento viene selezionato e refilato su misura nel reparto taglierine ribobinatrici.
Il riempimento avviene con macchine automatiche e la bustina subisce un severo controllo qualità, per valutarne la tenuta sotto pressione, lo spessore, il peso, l’ermeticità sottovuoto, la stabilità (collaudata con forno a caloria costante).
Prima di avviare il riempimento totale del lotto, I.G.C. ha disposto test rigorosi su confezioni campione, che vengono in parte sottoposte al cliente e in parte studiate da un laboratorio collegato, ottenendo così un controllo incrociato dei risultati, a totale garanzia di assenza di contaminanti.
Tra le numerose soluzioni proposte, quelle a tre e cinque buste e la possibilità di creare e utilizzare fustelle particolari, nonché numerosi brevetti esclusivi, come la bustina con tappo “Mono +”.
Quest’ultima soluzione, in particolare, ha fatto guadagnare all’azienda un Oscar dell’Imballaggio. In collaborazione con Safta (che ha fornito la chiusura), I.G.C. ha infatti sviluppato una bustina col tappo svitabile, mettendo a punto il metodo e la macchina per inserire e saldare la chiusura sulla confezione.

Polylaminated plastic-based sachets
I.G.C. produces polylaminated plastic-based sachets, using polyester, aluminium, PE (transparent and otherwise), paper, PE/ALL/PE laminates.
Full System is the name of the service offered by I.G.C. On receipt, the customer’s product is catalogued, coded and stored in the most suitable place in terms of temperature, light and humidity levels.
Before printing, the packing material is selected and trimmed to size in the rereeling trimmer department. The sachets are then filled on automatic machines and the end sachet undergoes strict quality checks to assess its tightness under pressure, its thickness, weight, vacuum tightness and stability (tested in a constant heat oven).
Before allowing the total filling of the lot, I.G.C. performs certain strict tests on sample packs, of which some are sent to the customer and others studied in an associated lab, thus getting cross checks of the results for an absolute guarantee of the absence of contaminants.
Many different solutions are proposed, including the 3 and 5 envelope solutions and the possibility to create and use special dies, as well as numerous exclusive patents, such as the sachet with the “Mono +” cap. The latter has won the company a Packaging Oscar.
In fact, in cooperation with Safta (that supplied the seal), I.G.C. has developed a sachet with a screw cap, refining the method and the machine needed to insert and seal the closure in the pack.
This took a lot of effort, costing three years of work, but was well worth it in terms of satisfaction, confirming the value of the innovation also in terms of the conception of packaging.
