308 Dispenser per olio
Rieke Packaging Systems, Englass, in collaborazione con il proprio cliente greco Minerva, di Atene, ha sviluppato una soluzione innovativa per l’erogazione di olio di oliva.
Rieke ha adattato il dispenser Englass FND30 progettando un collarino di chiusura che può essere applicato al beccuccio flessibile della lattina di olio da 5 l (il diametro del beccuccio di versamento misura 28 mm, ossia 10 mm in meno rispetto a quello in genere richiesto per il dispenser).
La chiusura FND30, che eroga una dose pari a 30 ml, è dotata anche di una valvola anti-gocciolamento.
Il contenitore della Minerva, il primo di questo tipo ad essere lanciato in Europa nel settore olio, ha ottenuto un riscontro positivo, anche grazie alla campagna pubblicitaria che ha accompagnato la promozione: la quota di mercato è passata infatti dal 13 al 23%.

Oil dispenser
Rieke Packaging Systems, Englass, in association with its Greek customer Minerva, in Athens, has developed an innovative solution for olive oil dispensing.
Rieke has adapted the Englass FND30 dispenser designing a closure which can be applied to the flexible spout of the 5l oil drum (the diameter of the pouring spout measures 28mm, or 10mm less than the diameter normally required for a dispenser).
The FND30 closure, which dispenses a dose of 30 ml, is also equipped with an anti-drip insert in the nozzle.
The Minerva container, the first of this kind to be launched in Europe in the oil sector, has received a favorable reception, thanks too to the advertising campaign which accompanied the promotion: in fact, its market share has increased from 13 to 23%.

309 Busta stand up per formaggio
Dairy Crest, una delle principali aziende lattiero-casearie del Regno Unito, ha scelto l’accoppiato Amcor FlexCan della Amcor Flexibles (Barnwood, UK) per la nuova confezione da 200 g di Cathedral City, formaggio Cheddar a cubetti.
Richiudibile, di tipo stand-up e dotato di quattro superfici stampabili, l’imballaggio è in grado di garantire tanto la freschezza del prodotto quanto la visibilità del marchio. Il film a tre strati (OPP, OPA e strato sigillante di PE) include un sistema easy-open brevettato da Amcor ed è stato stampato in reverse in rotocalco a sei colori da Amcor Flexibles Colodense, su una macchina da stampa Rotomec. La realizzazione delle buste, da bobina, e il riempimento sono state invece affidate a una confezionatrice verticale, completamente automatica, della tedesca Rovema Verpackungsmaschinen.

Stand-up bag for cheese
Dairy Crest, one of the United Kingdom’s largest dairy products companies, has chosen Amcor FlexCan laminate from Amcor Flexibles (Barnwood, UK) for its new 200 g packs of Cathedral City, diced Cheddar cheese. Reclosable, stand up type and with four print surfaces, the packaging ensures both the freshness of the product and the visibility of the brand. The three-ply laminate (OPP, OPA and lapseal PE) includes an easy-open system patented by Amcor and is reverse-printed 6 colours gravure by Amcor Flexibles Colodense on a Rotomec press.
The forming of the bags, from the reel, and filling take place on a fully automatic vertical packaging machine from the German company Rovema Verpackungsmaschinen.

Leroy-Somer, specialista in sistemi di trasmissione elettromeccanici ed elettronici, ha arricchito la propria gamma di motoriduttori iA con Compabloc 3000 ad ingranaggi elicoidali, che va a completare la serie Multibloc iA. Grande attenzione è stata prestata, in fase di ideazione, al rispetto delle norme d’igiene e in particolare alle protezioni anticorrosione. Concepiti per essere utilizzati con motori asincroni a velocità fissa o variabile della serie Varmeca, i motoriduttori iA si prestano ad applicazioni nell’industria agroalimentare, nella trasformazione, manutenzione e nel confezionamento.
L’azienda ha presentato inoltre: due nuove generazioni di motori asincroni (Label Eff1 e Label Eff2) sviluppati per aumentare il rendimento dei motori elettrici e ridurre il consumo di energia; motori di sicurezza per ambienti pericolosi; sistemi di azionamento per atmosfere esplosive polverose; convertitori di frequenza ad elevato grado di protezione.

Transmission systems
Leroy-Somer, a specialist in electromechanical and electronic transmission systems, has enriched its iA range of gear motors with the Compabloc 3000 (helical gears), completing the Multibloc iA series. Much care was taken during the design stage to ensure compliance with hygiene standards and anti-corrosion protection in particular. Conceived to be used with the fixed or variable speed asynchronous motors belonging to the Varmeca series, these iA gear motors have applications in the agrofood, converting, maintenance and packing sectors.
The company also presented two new generations of the asynchronous motor (Label Eff1 and Label Eff2) developed to increase the output of electric motors and to cut energy consumption; safety motors for hazardous areas; drive systems for explosive powdery atmospheres; high safety factor frequency converters.

Battistini Srl (Parma) produces packing machines and complete lines for rigid and flexible containers intended for food and chemical products. The offer is split into: machines for preformed Doy-pack types sachets; automatic volumetric filling machines and semiautomatic filling machines – including weight types – for liquid, dense and semidense products; mechanical and semiautomatic metering units for products regardless of consistency type, with adjustable dosage volume and (certain models) speed control inverter. Mannara e Figli Srl (Nocera Superiore, SA) realizza accessori e macchine per il confezionamento. Tra di esse figura l’incartonatrice automatica FI TM2, adatta a qualsiasi imballaggio di cartone tipo americano. Costituito, pur nell’ingombro ridotto (circa 5 m di lunghezza), da apricartone e incartonatrice, l’impianto è dotato di gestione elettronica e di un sistema di riempimento-cartoni semplice e brevettato, con una produzione di 25 strati/min, per barattoli di banda stagnata. Aumentando il numero di teste di caricamento (originariamente due) è possibile raggiungere anche i 40 strati/min. Inoltre, si segnalano le fardellatrici termoretraibili BS 650 e BS 750, disponibili sia in versione semi-automatica sia automatica. La fardellatrice automatica a doppio strato F. 750 è in grado di confezionare prodotti cilindrici di varie misure, con una capacità operativa fino a 25 fardelli/min. |

Casepacking and bundling machines
Mannara e Figli Srl (Nocera Superiore, SA) manufactures accessories and machines for packaging. These include the FI TM2 automatic casepacking machine, suitable for any American type packaging carton. Of small size (about 5 m in length), it consists of a carton opener and case packer and is equipped with automatic management and a simple, patented carton filling system, with a production rate of 25 layers/min for tinplate cans. By increasing the number of loading heads (two as standard), it is possible to achieve 40 layers/min. The company also produces the BS 650 and BS 750 heat shrink bundling machines, available in both semi-automatic and automatic versions. The F. 750 double layer bundling machine can pack cylindrical products of various sizes, with an operating capacity of up to 25 bundles/min. |

313 Avvolgitrici con film prestirato
Punto di forza della Se.Co.Pack. di Retorbido (PV) è la continua ricerca di soluzioni innovative. La società lombarda ha infatti basato la propria strategia puntando sulla collaborazione con importanti produttori di materiali e attrezzature per l’imballaggio industriale, che rappresenta sul mercato italiano.
In quest’ottica si colloca il rapporto con Heikaus, costruttore tedesco di avvolgitrici mobili a braccio rotante (serie RD202 e PL407) e del film prestirato Winprap Coreless, senza mandrino di cartone.
RD202-1600/1800 e PL 407-1800/2000 rappresentano un nuovo modo di intendere l’avvolgimento dei carichi palettizzati; queste macchine possono infatti muoversi liberamente e velocemente in magazzino, effettuando ottimi avvolgimenti in un’area di lavoro estremamente ridotta (200x2500 mm).
Il modello RD202 è composto da un braccio rotante montato su transpallet manuale, con alimentazione a batteria (2x12 V). Sull’attrezzatura PL 407 il braccio rotante è invece assemblato a due prolunghe per il fissaggio su transpallet elettrico dell’utilizzatore.
Il film prestirato Winprap Coreless consente di offrire, pur utilizzando una ridotta quantità di materiale plastico, un’ottima tenuta dei carichi palettizzati. |

Wrapping machines with pre-stretched film
An important aspect of Se.Co.Pack. of Retorbido (PV) is its continual search for innovative solutions. The Lombardy company has based its strategy on collaboration with important producers of materials and equipment for the packaging industry, represented in the Italian market.
This is demonstrated by its relationship with Heikaus, the German producer of rotary arm mobile wrapping machines (the RD202 and PL407 series) and Winprap Coreless pre-stretched film, without a cardboard mandrel.
The RD202-1600/1800 and PL 407-1800/2000 represent a new way of wrapping palletised loads; these machines can move freely and quickly around the warehouse, carrying out excellent wrapping operations in a very restricted working area (200x2500 mm).
The RD202 model consists of a battery-driven (2x12 V) rotary arm mounted on a manual transpallet. On the PL 407, the rotary arm is fitted with two extensions for fitting to the user’s electric transpallets.
The Winprap Coreless pre-stretched film, while using a reduced quantity of plastic material, provides an excellent grip of the palletised loads. |

314 Rilevatore di perdite
Dansensor Italia (Segrate, MI), leader nella strumentazione di analisi per il controllo dell’atmosfera protettiva, presenta sul mercato italiano il rilevatore di perdite per confezioni di alimenti “Leak Pointer”, in grado di effettuare, in modo non distruttivo, rapidi controlli a campione.
Leak Pointer, utile per conoscere l’effettiva tenuta delle saldature e l’ermeticità delle confezioni in atmosfera protettiva, si basa su un innovativo sensore ceramico per CO2 in grado di offrire un’analisi estremamente precisa.
La confezione da analizzare viene inserita nella camera a tenuta stagna, dove si crea una depressione che, in caso di perdite, causa una fuoriuscita di gas dall’involucro della confezione.
Grazie a un apposito sistema, una parte di questo gas attraversa il sensore, che analizza l’eventuale quantità di CO2 fuoriuscita dalla perdita. Il risultato viene indicato sul display di tipo touch screen.
Oltre ad essere semplice da utilizzare, preciso nelle sue analisi e di costruzione interamente in acciaio inox, il sistema non richiede nessun tipo di calibrazione programmata. Inoltre, la memorizzazione dei dati di analisi e dei parametri di prova, l’uscita RS232 per il collegamento a stampante/PC e la compattezza delle dimensioni fanno del Leak Pointer uno strumento estremamente versatile. |

Leak detector
Dansensor Italia (Segrate, Milan), leader in analysis instruments for protective atmosphere controls, present the Italian market with its leak detector for food packs - the “Leak Pointer” - capable of carrying out fast non destructive sample tests.
The Leak Pointer, ideal for finding out the effective tightness of seals and the hermetic nature of protective atmosphere packs, is based on an innovative ceramic CO2 sensor that's capable of offering extremely precise analysis.
The pack to be analysed is inserted in the airtight chamber and then a depression is created that causes the gas to escape from the pack's wrapping if there is a leak.
Thanks to a special system, part of this gas passes the sensor, which then analyses the amount of CO2 that escapes through the leak. The result is shown on the touch screen display.
As well as being easy to use and 100% stainless steel, the system offers precise analysis and has no need for programmed calibration. What's more, the analysis data and test parameters stored in the memory, the RS232 output for connection to printer/PC and the compact size of the Leak Pointer make it an extremely versatile instrument. |
