EPS sul podio
“Nuovi imballaggi in EPS”, concorso di design indetto da AIPE e ADI (Associazione per il Disegno Industriale) per promuovere e stimolare l’utilizzo del polistirene espanso nel settore packaging, ha trovato i suoi vincitori. La giuria ha infatti selezionato, tra i molti pervenuti ad opera di studenti e professionisti, i sei progetti che meglio hanno saputo esprimere l’ottimale integrazione tra imballaggio di EPS e prodotto nei vari settori di utilizzo. In attesa della premiazione ufficiale, che avrà luogo in febbraio in occasione di Plast e Ipack-Ima, proponiamo di seguito i concept vincitori, nelle due categorie Professionisti e Studenti.

EPS on the winners’ rostrum
“New packaging in EPS”, the design competition organized by AIPE and ADI (Italian Industrial Design Association) to promote and stimulate the use of polystyrene foam in the packaging sector has chosen the winners. Among the many entries from students and professionals, the jury has selected the six projects that best express optimum integration between packaging in EPS and products in the various user sectors. While awaiting the official award ceremony, that will take place in February during Plast and Ipack-Ima, we propose the winning concepts in the two Professional and Student categories.
Red dot award
Sono aperte le iscrizioni al “red dot award: product design 2006”, prestigioso concorso del Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen che da oltre 50 anni premia i progetti più innovativi e originali di tutto il globo. Anche quest’anno, una giuria di esperti e designer di fama mondiale sarà chiamata a pronunciarsi sulla qualità e funzionalità dei progetti in concorso; i vincitori saranno premiati a Essen il 26 giugno, e i loro prodotti saranno esposti per almeno un anno al “red dot design museum”, situato nel suggestivo complesso industriale di Zollverein (patrimonio mondiale Unesco). Le iscrizioni, aperte a produttori e designer le cui realizzazioni siano presenti sul mercato da non più di due anni, chiuderanno il 23 gennaio 2006. Red dot award
Applications are now being accepted for the “red dot award: product design 2006”, a prestigious competition by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen who has rewarded the most innovative and original projects from all over the globe for over 50 years.
Even this year, a jury of internationally acclaimed experts and designers will be called to declare their opinions on the quality and functionality of the projects in the competition; the winners will be rewarded during the official ceremony on the 26th of June, and their products will be exhibited for at least one year at the “red dot design museum”, located in the magnificent Zollverein mines (Unesco cultural heritage).

Nel corso di una scintillante cerimonia di premiazione a Shanghai, Bruno Viappiani (Segrate, MI) si è aggiudicato il premio Sappi International Printers of the Year nella categoria autopromozioni dello stampatore. Il riconoscimento, conferito da Sappi (produttore globale di carte fini patinate) ai migliori lavori stampati con le proprie carte, è andato in particolare a “TrashZappingPixel”, volume dimostrativo di tecniche di stampa realizzato impiegando una selezione di carte HannoArt Silk da135g/m2 a 300g/m2.
An award
Announced during a dazzling awards ceremony at Shanghai, the Sappi International Printers of the Year award for the printer’s own promotion category went to Bruno Viappiani (Segrate, MI). The award, conferred by Sappi (a global producer of coated fine paper) for the best work printed on personally produced paper, has gone most especially to “TrashZappingPixel”, a volume demonstrating printing techniques designed with a range of HannoArt Silk paper from 135g/m2 to 300g/m2.
Promuovere la conservazione
Con la campagna “L’arte di conservarsi bene”, realizzata dall’agenzia SS&C di Varese, Verimec ha vinto l’argento nel Premio Nazionale per la Pubblicità “Targa d’Oro” (promosso dalla Rivista ADV - Finedit Italia e dalla Fondazione Mario Bellavista, giunto quest’anno alla ventesima edizione), per la sezione “Stampa di Categoria”. Si tratta di un riconoscimento importante alla creatività e al lavoro dell’agenzia, che già in passato si è distinta per la ricerca di un linguaggio creativo, semplice e diretto. Ma, certamente, è anche un riconoscimento all’azienda, che ha reso possibile la realizzazione del progetto e che ha sempre visto nella comunicazione uno strumento fondamentale per la valorizzazione del proprio essere sul mercato.
La campagna stampa presenta i prodotti distribuiti dalla società di Abbiategrasso, ovvero capsule, vetri e capsulatrici, in un contesto “artistico” che ne esalta prestazioni, qualità e appeal.
Promoting conservation
At Italy’s “Targa d’Oro” (Golden Plaque) National Awards for Publicity (this year marks its twentieth edition, promoted by Rivista ADV - Finedit Italia and the Mario Bellavista Foundation), Verimec won the silver award for its “Art of wellbeing” campaign, designed by the SS&C agency of Varese for the section on “Trade Printing”.
It is an important recognition of the work and creativity of an agency already distinguished for its research in simple, direct and creative language.
Certainly, however, this was also recognition for the concern that made the project design possible and who has always seen communication as an essential means for enhancing its image on the market.
The printing campaign presents products distributed by the Abbiategrasso company, i.e. capsules, glass and capsuling machines, in an “artistic” context exalting their performance, quality and appeal.
Dolce da leggere
A chi ama farsi sedurre dal dolce (e dal bello) Gmund - storica cartiera bavarese - ha dedicato Rendez Vous Sucré, raffinato ricettario da dessert destinato ad appagare tanto i palati più esigenti quanto gli appassionati di arte e design. L’opera rappresenta infatti un’antologia delle migliori ricette di dolci di tutto il mondo, selezionate da chef e critici accreditati e accompagnate dalle suggestive illustrazioni dell’artista francese François Gervais.
Il libro, edito da Gmund Edition, è stampato da Steven Hond (Flevodruk, NL) sulle carte più raffinate della cartiera tedesca, per fare di ogni pagina una delizia da vedere, leggere e toccare.
Sweet reading
For those who can’t resist the sweet - and the beautiful - Gmund (timehonored Bavarian papermill) has dedicated Rendez Vous Sucré, refined dessert recipe book to satisfy the most demanding palates as well as for art and design conoisseurs.
The work is in fact an anthology of the best recipes for desserts from all around the world, chosen by well-known chefs and critics and accompanied by attractive illustrations by French artist François Gervais.
The book, edited by Gmund Edition, is printed by Steven Hond (Flevodruk, NL) on the German papermill’s choice paper, making every page a delight to see, to read and to touch.
