Joint venture Svezia - Arabia Saudita
NUOVA unità di produzione di film estensibile industriale in Arabia Saudita
È nata una nuova joint venture industriale, tra un gruppo svedese e uno arabo per la produzione di film estensibile cast, che prevede la costruzione di un sito produttivo in Arabia Saudita, con un investimento inziale di 23 milioni di Euro.
L’accordo paritetico è stato siglato lo scorso 17 aprile da Mats Larsson, amministratore delegato della Divisione Stretch Film di Trioplast e da Riyadh Al-Birdisi, vice presidente Mada Group - Industrial & Commercial Investment.
L’intento è quello di creare un’unità produttiva per film estensibile cast a Jubail, sulla costa orientale dell’Arabia Saudita, coinvolgendo Trioplast Industrier AB e Mada Group - Industrial & Commercial Investment.
Il core business della nuova joint venture sarà la produzione di film estensibili cast destinati ad applicazioni industriali, anche se entrambi i partner concordano nell’estendere questa cooperazione ad altri settori di utilizzo e nello spingere la nuova realtà verso una posizione di leadership a livello mondiale.
Si prevede che la capacità produttiva della joint venture raggiunga, in cinque anni, le 100.000 t/a di film estensibile cast. L’impianto sarà avviato all’inizio del secondo trimestre 2007, con una produttività iniziale di 25.000 t/a, per un investimento di circa 23 milioni di Euro. La nuova entità, che sarà essenzialmente orientata all’export sui mercati internazionali, ha già firmato un contratto con Scado (un ufficio saudita) come società di ingegneria industriale per lo sviluppo del nuovo sito di produzione e con Battenfeld Gloucester per la fornitura delle prime due linee produttive.
Più di 60.000 m2 sono stati destinati allo stabilimento, completamente integrato e situato nelle vicinanze dei giacimenti petroliferi. Non sarà quindi necessario trasportare le materie prime allo stabilimento di produzione del film estensibile, in quanto il cracking del polietilene verrà effettuato nello stesso stabilimento di produzione del film stretch. Trioplast è produttore leader di film estensibili cast, film estensibili a bolla, film per agricoltura, e propone molti altri prodotti provenienti da vari centri europei; Mada Group, invece, dispone di diversi impianti che includono, tra le numerose linee, la produzione di tappeti, moquettes, erba artificiale, e BOPP.

Sweden - Saudi Joint Venture
New global stretch film industrial production company in in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia
A new industrial joint venture between a Swedish and a Saudi Arabian industrial group has been established for the production of cast stretch film, from a purpose built production facility in Saudi Arabia, with an initial investment of 23 million Euro. Mr. Mats Larsson - managing director of Trioplast Stretch Film Division and mr. Riyadh Al-Birdisi (vice president of Mada Group for Industrial & Commercial Investment are delighted to announce that an equal partnership agreement was signed on the 17th of April 2006. The agreement is to build a cast stretch film production facility in Jubail industrial city on the East Coast of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia between Trioplast Industrier AB and Mada Group for Industrial & Commercial Investment.
The core business of the new Joint Venture is the production of cast stretch film for industrial applications, however both partners have agreed to extend this cooperation to further product areas and bring the new joint venture into a world wide leadership position. The new joint venture production capacity is planned to reach 100 KMTA of cast stretch film within five years. The plant will start with 25 KMTA due for production at the beginning of the 2nd quarter of 2007 with an initial investment of about 23 million Euro. The new joint venture is an export oriented business to the international market. The joint venture has already signed the contract with Scado (a Saudi Arabian office) as the engineering consulting firm for the industrial site development and with Battenfeld Gloucester for the first two production lines supply. Over 60 thousand square meters of land has been allocated to the project which will be a fully integrated production facility back to the oil fields.
This will remove the transportation of polyethylene raw materials to the stretch film production facility completely as the polyethylene cracker will be on the same site as the
stretch film production.
