Alice Pedroletti (Milano, 1978) fotografa. La sua ricerca si concentra soprattutto sull’uso di colori e contrasti estremi come mezzo per interpretare la realtà circostante, sulla fusione tra oggetti, persone e ambiente e su prospettive e forme evocative.
Caratteristica delle sue immagini è la spontaneità silenziosa con cui, allo stesso modo, vengono catturati momenti di vita quotidiana e semplici oggetti o architetture. Ricerca meccanica di una perfezione sempre comunque reale, mai paradossale o finta anche quando l’immagine viene portata al limite dell’eccesso cromatico.
Il risultato della maggior parte dei suoi lavori, che variano dal reportage alla musica al design, è dato da esperienze e ricerche condotte in diverse città straniere (Parigi, Londra, New York, San Francisco). Vive a Milano dove collabora con alcune riviste (Mood, Rock Sound, Rumore), case discografiche e agenzie di management. Ha inaugurato da poco uno spazio, “Alike’ Studio”, punto d’incontro per musicisti, designer, grafici, fotografi e pittori.
Da tre anni collabora con Edna Godoy, giovane designer colombiana, per la quale ha realizzato moltissime immagini pubblicitarie, sia per l’Italia che per gli Stati Uniti e il Giappone e con la quale realizza installazioni “Illumino-tattili” dove la luce, posandosi delicatamente sugli oggetti, si fonde con l’ambiente circostante, ricreando le stesse atmosfere presenti nelle sue immagini. Nell’ambito di una mostra collettiva presso l’Associazione per le arti contemporanee di Brescia “Verbo Essere” che si inaugura ad aprile, verrà presentata la collezione di tessuti e di alcuni componenti d’arredo di Edna Godoy, accompagnata dalle immagini e dai “disegni luminosi” di Alice. Il lavoro delle due giovani artiste è il frutto di affinità elettive che si sono incontrate e hanno deciso di mettere in comune la passione per le forme luminose e i colori forti della natura, pur rimanendo estremamente diverse nel modo di esprimere il proprio concetto di realtà.

Her work concentrates aboveall on the use of extreme colors and contrasts as a means for interpreting the surrounding reality, on the fusion between objects, people and environment and on evocative perspectives and forms. A characteristic of her images is the spontaneous silence with which she simultaneously captures moments of everyday life and simple objects or architecture; a mechanical search for a perfection that is though always real, never paradoxical or false even when the image is brought to the limits of chromatic excess. Most of her works, that vary from news reports to music to design, are the result of experience and studies carried out in cities around the world - Paris, London, New York and San Francisco. Alice Pedroletti lives in Milan and works with a number of magazines (Mood, Rock Sound, Rumore), recording companies and management agencies. She has just inaugurated a space, the ‘Alike’ Studio, meeting point for musicians, designers, graphics artists, photographers and painters.
For three years now she has been working with Edna Godoy, a young Colombian designer, for whom she has created many photographs for advertising, both in Italy and in the US and Japan, and with whom she makes “illumino-tactile” installations where the light, resting delicately on the objects, blends with the surrounding environment, recreating the same atmosphere present in her photographs. Edna Godoy’s collection of textiles and furnishing complements, accompanied by Alice’s “luminous drawings”, will be shown at a collective exhibition at the Association for contemporary arts at Brescia “Verbo Essere” that will be inaugurated in April. The work of the two young artists is fruit of chosen affinities, the two artists having elected to share their passion for luminous shapes and strong colors in nature, while all the same remaining extremely different in their way of expressing their own concept of reality.
