Le rappresentazioni della giovane vicentina Monica Pontarin ([email protected]) sono di impatto immediato. Sovrapposizione di figure geometriche e accostamenti cromatici realizzano la fantasia dell’artista, in un approccio innovativo e moderno allo stile figurativo, che si esprime attraverso l’equilibrio tra la ripartizione geometrica delle forme e l’utilizzo di una tavolozza di colori brillanti; siamo di fronte a una rete di relazioni, costruita con sapienza ed eleganza, che non offusca il significato del messaggio che l’opera vuole trasmettere. Lo spettatore non può che perdersi in quell’infinito movimento di linee e cerchi, che realizzano l’interpretazione dei soggetti da parte dell’artista (che, sopra ogni cosa, ama riprodurre pesci, tucani, farfalle, anatre, tigri…). In particolare, l’opera ritratta in copertina è frutto dell’incontro con lo studio grafico Red Rose di Vicenza che, grazie all’esperienza maturata in oltre dieci anni nel settore della computer grafica e dell’animazione in 3D, ha saputo interpretare al meglio le esigenze dell’artista, riproducendo nella grafica lo stile figurativo geometrico che ne contraddistigue le opere. Pontarin ha reso pubbliche le sue ricerche espressive, con esposizioni personali e collettive sia in Italia che all’estero (Francia e Stati Uniti). The representations of the young Vicenza artist Monica Pontarin ([email protected]) have an immediate impact. The overlapping of geometric shapes and color combinations project the artist’s imagination in an innovatory and modern approach to the figurative style, that is expressed through the balance between the geometric spacing of the forms and the use of a bright color palette; we are placed before a skilfully and elegantly constructed network of relations, that does not obscure the meaning of the message that the work wishes to transmit. The spectator cannot but lose him/herself in that infinite movement of lines and circles that go to constitute the artist’s interpretation of objects (who aboveall other things loves to reproduce fish, toucans, butterflies, ducks, tigers…). In particular, the work portrayed on the cover is the result of Pontarin’s encounter with the Red Rose graphics studio of Vicenza that, thanks to over ten years of experience in the 3D computer graphics and animation sector, has been able to best interpret the needs of the artist, giving a graphical rendition of the figurative geometric style that features in her work. Pontarin has made her work public by holding one-man and collective shows in both Italy and abroad (France and the USA).
